Milti-Strand

ONE NEEDLE MULTI-STRAND PIECE USING CONES

Design piece. Measure and cut thread for each strand (Length X 2 +12"). Stretch thread. Thread one piece of thread on the needle. Taking the ends together tie them to an eye pin. Trim the end to about 1/8". Burn the end of the thread, being careful not to burn the knot.

String on all beads for this stand. Then tie the ends to another eye pin. Trim the end to about 1/8". Burn the end of the thread, being careful not to burn the knot. Repeat for each strand.

When you have all of your strands finished, slide a cone on to the end of one of your eye pins. The cone should cover all of the knots as well as the eye of the pin. You may need to oval the eye with a pair of pliers to get it to fit.

Create a loop with your round needle nose pliers. Leave a space below the loop for wrapping. Wrap the end of the wire around the base of the wire where you left space. Fill up the space and trim off any extra wire, tucking in the ends. That gives you a finished end.

Attach the Clasp.

Twist open the eye end of a pin and work it into the knot. Twist it closed. (Try to keep threads from tangling, tape them down while you work if necessary.) String all beads to complete your design. Then tie all of the ends together. Use a needle to guide a knot snug against the beads.

Tighten it up by pulling the threads apart leaving no slack between beads. Trim the end to about 1/8". Burn the end of the thread, being careful not to burn the knot. Twist open the eye end of a pin and work it into the knot. Twist it closed.
