Spheres are the most common bead shape. They are round but do not have to be perfectly round. They can be faceted, grooved, fluted, or melon shaped.

Discs, donuts and rings are also known as annular beads. Discs have smaller holes, donuts medium, and rings are mostly hole.

Eliptical beads are oval in shape.

Tabular beads are flat with the hole drilled from end to end. They come in many shapes.

Cylanders, tubes, or tiles have a rectagular profile. the hole ends can be round, square, or any other shape. They can be faceted, curved, or spiraled.

Square or cube beads are just that. They can have cut corners. They can be drilled diagonally or through the center.

Drops, pendant-like beads with the top of the bead side drilled.

Teardrop and pear shaped beads are drilled through the length of the bead. One end is larger than the other with the larger end convexly rounded.

Caps and Cones, like the teardrops, are drilled through the length of the bead. One end is larger than the other. Caps have the larger end concavely rounded so that they can hug a bead. Cones are open ended to accept multi-strands. Bicone beads form a cone at both ends.
